Qazvin has sometimes been of central importance at major moments of Iranian history.
It was captured by invading Arabs (644 AD) and destroyed by Hulagu Khan (13th century).
Born in Hamburg to a German father and a Croatian mother, she began performing as a cheerleader for the Hamburg Blue Angels, a squad associated with the Hamburg Blue Devils American football team.
In 1995, when she was just 15, she started her musical career under the name Blümchen.
Her work consists of easy-to-read love stories written in very picturesque and descriptive style, which brings her constant popularity to this day.
